Just Married

Last Thursday (Aug. 26th) The Southern Seminary Wives Institute started their Fall semester classes. We first had orientation and then received our course outline. We had to then go around the room introducing our selves. I think that over half the class had been married less than 3 weeks, one quarter were pregnant, and the rest of us were just married. Like being married is not enough for these Seminary students. I'll admit it, I felt like an outsider in a room full of married people...It's just amazing how quickly some people's lives move and change. It kind of makes me think about when the Holy Spirit came into my life...(another topic for another entry) We have now had two classes and it's going to be a very interesting class full of very practical information, which I love!

But after being here in the "city" and walking around on campus it's hit me that;
  1. We are very small fish in a very large pond
  2. It seems like everyone is married, has at least 5 kids, pregnant with another
  3. They are the happiest people that I've ever met.
People on campus genuinely care for you and mean it when they ask "How are you?" and when they say "I hope you have a wonderful day." It's such a breath of fresh air. I think I'm really, really going to like it here!
